In February 2011, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), in conjunction with the JPDO, released the 2011 Human Factors Coordination Plan. This document was the first in an annual series of coordination processes that will help the FAA and NASA align their NextGen human factors research activities. It also initiated an annual process for identifying gaps and reporting progress in this area. JPDO Releases National Aviation Safety Strategic PlanMay 08, 2012
The JPDO has released the National Aviation Safety Strategic Plan (NASSP). This document defines national goals, objectives, and strategies for aviation safety improvements, and provides a basis on which the JPDO government partners can plan their aviation safety resources. It also provides a way for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to align budgets relative to aviation safety.
