NextGen Integrated Work Plan Version 1.0 Now Available

The Joint Planning and Development Office (JPDO) is pleased to release Version 1.0 of the Next Generation Air Transportation System Integrated Work Plan: A Functional Outline.

The IWP is part of a comprehensive suite of information that represents the Integrated Plan for NextGen.  The Concept of Operations (ConOps) and Enterprise Architecture (EA), previously released by the JPDO, define the NextGen vision. This vision describes the operational concepts and activities of the air transportation system in the year 2025.  To achieve this vision, the IWP details the proposed milestones, timelines and responsibilities needed to transform the systems, policies and procedures of today. 

The IWP includes planning elements that are housed within a relationship database located within the Joint Planning Environment.  The IWP also includes a narrative report that discusses these planning elements, their context to each other, and the overall NextGen planning and development process.
