The Joint Planning and Development Office (JPDO) announces the release of the NextGen Enterprise Architecture (EA) Version 2.0, representing another step toward achieving the goals of NextGen.

This EA, commonly referred to as the “blueprint” for NextGen, is initially provided as a technical document of more than 600 pages that describes the, segments, capabilities, operational activities and identified relationships to the key target components of NextGen in the year 2025. The EA defines how these capabilities fit together, and is intended to be used as a tool for planning, negotiating and understanding the dynamic, interrelated business processes and technical solutions that impact the aviation community.

Interested parties are encouraged to review the EA via the JPDO Library at www.jpdo.gov/library/EnterpriseArchitectureV2.zip (29MB). Be sure to include contact information and proper mailing address with all requests.

After review, we would appreciate any comments to be submitted using the Comment Form. Comments submitted prior to August 31, 2007 will be reviewed and adjudicated for inclusion in the next version of the NextGen EA. Comments received after the comment period closes may be considered for subsequent versions of the NextGen EA.
